nTrust was a global money transfer platform helping to close the gap between the banked and unbanked – an estimated 2.5 billion people worldwide.
nTrust was a global money transfer platform helping to close the gap between the banked and unbanked. With an nTrust account, members could freely access their money to exchange currencies, shop at retail and online shops, pay employees or withdraw from 1.7 million ATMs worldwide.
I joined nTrust in 2013 to work with the design team to create new experiences and explore potential features for the cloud financial service industry.
After several months of ideation, design, prototype, iteration, and development, we have designed an unique global peer-to-peer money transfer platform that stoodout from the rest. This was a tremendous opportunity for us to explore all the new technology that allowed us to craft a previously unachievable experience in the financial services industry.
I worked closely with multidisciplinary teams to reduce frictions between users and the navigation system
Other responsibilities included but not limited to:
In order for nTrust users withdraw money from their cloud accounts, the user had to be fully verified.
The KYC verification process required users to input a considerable amount of personal information which decreased the number of sign-ups.
The objective of designing a Responsive Web Application was to create a optimized system for all devices.
One of the challenges we came across was to create an intuitive IA to satisfy different devices and screen size.
Since our users were sending money globally, our also focused on creating a fast but secure platform so users with slower connection network would be able to send money swiftly. Visuals and additional elements were reduced to minimum (without sacrificing the aesthetics) to optimize the loading time.
In order to maintain communications the across all departments, I was also responsible for creating release notes, style guides, and tutorials for all applications.
